The building is located next to the monastery of Sant’Agostino close to the ancient city wall. Set at the limit of the sloppy ground, the school building open itself with a new plaza at street level , and takes advantage of the high level difference towards the landscape to organize 3 twin towers of 5 storey. The star shaped floor plan and the division into single tower elements aims to respond to the inner organization of the new institution and in the same time provides the character of a medieval fortress firmly anchored in the site. The narrow horizontal cuts are like sunshades protecting from a strong solar irradiation. Skylights inserted in the vaulted roof provide additional daylight to the classrooms. The bearing structure is made of concrete and the façades feature a brick cladding.
